Bamboo was bred by Miniatures Hippodrome.

Her sire is the beautiful black and white tobiano stallion Fallen Ash Scouts Velvet Legacy, who is descended from the legendary L&D Scout, who himself is a son of Orion Light of the Huttenest.

On her mother's side, her dam Fallen Ash Scouts Wild Orchid is also a daughter of L&D Scout, so there is a bit of line breeding on that legendary blood. That this proved to be successful was already proven in the past, because Bamboo's full sister MH Legacys Wild Violet became AMHA European Supreme Champion and AMHA Grand Champion Mare in 2005
